This position is based at Nikkiso ACD, LLC, located in Santa Ana, CA.

Maintenance Technician

Position Summary

The maintenance technician position is responsible for performing highly diversified duties to install, troubleshoot, repair, and maintain production and facility equipment according to safety, predictive and productive maintenance systems and processes to support the achievement of the site’s business goals and objectives.

Essential Functions and Responsibilities

· Diagnose and repair various pneumatic, hydraulic, and electrical components and systems.

· Execute installation and repair of CNC lathes, Press Brakes, Shears, Paint equipment, Forklifts, material handling equipment, overhead cranes, and other manufacturing equipment

· Knowledge of repair and maintenance of welding equipment, electric motors, and pressure systems.

· Perform preventative maintenance duties by following routines and providing detailed documentation in CMMS (computerized maintenance management system) and recommend solutions to reoccurring issues.

· Diagnose and repair basic facility issues such as plumbing, electrical/lighting, door locks, and irrigation.

· Organize work area and maintain spare parts according to 5S standard practices.

· Provide support to manufacturing group by performing non-routine service requests to assure maximum equipment uptime.

· Operate a variety of machinery, equipment and tools including saws, router, drills, sanders, planers, drill presses and various hand tools.

· Follow safety policies and practices established by our Manufacturing safety and maintenance program including by not limited to Personal Protection (PPE) Lock Out/Tag Out (LOTO), Electrical Safety, and maintenance safety guidelines. Advise management of any potential risk to equipment downtime and provides a corrective and countermeasure plan.

· Support the setup of ventilation, refrigeration, and other systems; conduct repairs when necessary.

· Assist with special projects as needed.

Supervisory Responsibility

· This position has no direct supervisory responsibilities but does serve as a coach and mentor for other positions in the department.

Work Environment

· This job operates in both a professions office and shop environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as laptop computers, photocopiers and smartphones.

· Frequently lift and/or move up to 25 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 100 pounds.

Experience and Education

· HS Diploma or GED required.

· 5-7 years of experience as a maintenance technician in a manufacturing or similar environment

· Hands-on mechanical aptitude and proficiency diagnosing and repairing pneumatic, hydraulic, electrical, and fluid systems/equipment.

· Ability to read and understand schematics and various assembly drawings.

· Experience working on various material handling equipment such as electric pallet jacks, forklifts, and overhead and jib cranes.

· Experience operating forklifts

· Strong computer skills to document completed work and PMs in CMMS system. Email and internet as well.

· Light fabrication skills (welding and machining) preferred.

· Familiarity with disassembly and assembly of hydraulic cylinders, valves, and hoses.

· Ability to work on-site during operational hours with occasional overtime as required.

Environmental Safety Requirements

· New Employee Safety Training is required by all newly hired employees, including Safety Awareness

· All safety related training is provided and tracked by the EHS Director

· Job specific training modules deemed necessary by employee’s Manager or Director will be required of all employees on an ongoing basis

· Employees are required to wear ACD provided PPE as/when needed. PPE includes safety shoes, safety glasses, face shields, FR clothing, cryogenic gloves, cryogenic apron, cut resistant gloves, safety gloves, hearing protection, hard hats & dust masks. Failure to comply with ACD safety requirements will result in disciplinary actions, up to and including termination.

Salary

$66,208 - $91685 annually
