Digital Marketing Communications Specialist
Start date: Immediate upon completion of hiring procedures
Hours: 8:00 am - 4:30 pm Full-time position (40 hours/week) with benefits.
FLSA: Non-exempt hourly
Hourly rate: $25-$32 Commensurate with education and experience

Summary
The Digital Marketing Communications Specialist will oversee all internal and external communications, including building a strong digital marketing presence, to ensure MCS’ messaging is consistent, engaging, and in alignment with the mission of the school and objectives of the Admissions and Advancement departments.
The Digital Marketing Communications Specialist facilitates the planning, execution, delivery, and optimization of all internal and external communications. The role is responsible for creating a comprehensive communications and digital marketing strategy in alignment with Mariners Christian School’s mission and values. The Digital Marketing Communications Specialist is an integral member of the Advancement team and helps to chart the digital strategy of the organization, ensuring its accountability to all constituencies, as well as ensuring Mariners Christian School’s effective operation.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement marketing and communications strategies to support Administration, Admissions, and Advancement.
- Manage the MCS website, including text, media, and content while scheduling, tagging, and implementing SEO/SEM strategies, making running updates as necessary.
- Manage the MCS Master Calendar to reflect the ongoing schedule of holidays, events, field trips, sports, and more technical management of a diverse set of digital marketing suites and CRM platforms.
- Manage the distribution of all necessary communications on behalf of the Administration and the Board of Directors as needed.
- Monitor campaign performance by tracking data.
- Manage MCS Social Media accounts (Instagram, Facebook) in accordance with Digital Media Strategy and Policies including creation of content.
- Generate, edit, publish and share daily media content to build meaningful engagement with current families, alumni, and prospective families.
- Cultivate/write/collaborate to produce and deliver content and materials (print and electronic) for use in email communications, websites, newsletters, Annual Report, presentations, events and other needs as requested.
- Basic graphic design for school communications, collateral materials, and website.
- Produce simple videos for internal and external usage and promotional materials.

Qualifications and Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Marketing, or related field.
- 2+ years of experience executing effective digital marketing communications.
- Proficiency with WordPress, Instagram, G Suite, Dropbox, Constant Contact, SIS Systems.
- Knowledge and proficiency in UX/UI best practices, HTML, CSS, JavaScript.
- Proficiency with Web/Print Design tools including Adobe Creative Suite, Publisher, Illustrator, InDesign, Canva, Final Cut Pro, and/or CapCut.
